Android has never had a very intuitive way to share a small portion of your screen. You need to take a screenshot and crop it with Google Photos Markup (Android 9 and higher) and then share it via the gallery or target app such as a messaging application. There is an easier way. Screen Crop makes it easy to take a picture, crop it, and share it.

Use

Once you have placed the quick settings tile into the tray, swipe the screen across to choose an area that should be captured. You can adjust the selection with the four buttons. The buttons at the bottom allow you to save or share the file. The corner button lets you cancel.

Note

The app's quick settings tile must be manually added. Screen Crop will appear in your app drawer. This icon guides you through the process of adding settings tiles. Once it's set up, the icon in your app drawer disappears.

On Xiaomi phones, it is possible to take a large-sized screenshot after you tap the quick settings. This is an issue that is being addressed.

Screen Crop does not offer in-app purchases or ADs.

Permissions

Screen recording - necessary to capture screen shots indicated by the temporary "Cast" icon in the status bar.

Storage is required in order to store screenshots on your device memory.
