The Story

In a forest close to Riders, the story starts. The story begins when three young friends, Cheval and Lilia (the heroine) stumble upon an egg shining in the forest.

They perform a fun imitation of The Rite of Kinship, only to be stunned when it succeeds.

When the egg hatches, it reveals a baby Rathalos. This flying wyvern is also known as King of the Skies. He is affectionately named Ratha by the trio and taken back to his village home.

The Black Blight infects the Black Blight monster, and the attack comes on the village days later. The Black Blight is finally eradicated, but it leaves a lasting scar in Chevals and Lilias hearts.

One year has passed

A Kinship Stone is presented by the Village Chief to the hero and he officially becomes a Rider. Both Cheval and Lilia leave the village on their respective paths. Although the hero is now separated from his childhood friends, he partners with Navirou to embark on a new adventure in the world of hunters.
