ALDLdroid can be used to access OBD1 GM ECMs (ALDL). The app is compatible with the 160 and 8192baud protocol. The app may not come with the ADX files you require. Once you have started the app, and all folders structures are created, you'll need to copy your file into the ADX directory.

This application can also be used in other GM ECMs. The application can be used to edit tuning files on any other brand of car/motorcycle such as BMW N54 Buell DSM Ducati Ford Holden Nissan Porsche Volvo Fiat Renault, etc. Before purchasing an app, make sure you can find the XDF file needed for your application.

Tuning section also uses TunerPro files (XDF), which allow for editing BIN files. The Moates Ostrich hardware and Moates AutoProm are currently able to support real-time tuning. The Moates Ostrich and the Moates AutoProm hardware have been able to provide real-time tuning of NVRAM-based ECUs. This was only tested on Australian ECUs like the Delco;808. Moates' BURN1/BURN2 hardware also allows chip programming.

At the moment, connection to ECM is possible via Bluetooth (FTDI) or USB (BT). You should ensure that you Android devices support either one of the two connections. Most Android devices support USB host mode, but this doesn't mean that your device supports it.

Double-tap on any dashboard page to enter edit mode. This mode allows you to customize the dashboard indicators (add/edit/delete). Drag indicators to where you need them. Indicators can be added in any format that you like, such as a gauge bar graph with basic readout or a histogram. You can also customize the colors and add some style. You can set alarms and after you have entered the alarm value to activate an alarm, an indicator will turn red or vibrate on your Android phone.

There are two log viewers included in the app. The first allows you to view your data logs as a scatterplot format. You can choose the X/Y/Z columns from your data log files. You can merge the second viewer with the regular log viewer to view your GPS data. It can show time series from all columns in your data log file. You can see screenshots of all three.

After the Google Play 15 minute period, no refunds can be issued. If you have had any success using this app, it would be smart to consult online communities who use the ECM in the same way as you before buying.
