Requirements for the system

Android 4.2 and later

Permissions required

- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE

- Access_WIFI_STATE -- Also known as Wi-Fi connection information. AIDA64 needs this permission in order to display information about WiFi networks such as signal strength or SSID.

INTERNET

- CAMERA. AIDA64 needs this authorization to display camera information such as picture resolution. AIDA64 doesnt take photos or videos.

- On Android 4.2 to 4.3: READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE -- also known as Photos/Media/Files. AIDA64 needs this permission in order to determine total and unrestricted space for external storage (SD card). Notice: A bug in Play Store can cause Play Store to incorrectly request this permission on older Android versions. This is despite the fact that AIDA64 does not need or use it. You can verify the permissions that have been used in Android Settings/Apps/AIDA64 after the application has been installed.

Problems that are known

If the screen diagonal measurement calculation yields an incorrect value, the manufacturer may have entered the wrong values in the Android profile. We will correct the screen size in our next AIDA64 update if you discover an error on the screen.

Camera capabilities can show inaccurate information if incorrect values were entered by the manufacturer into the Android profile. We will correct any misreported data on the Devices Page if you send the About page report.

Only factory-delivered batteries can be used to report battery capacity. Android and AIDA64 wont be able to detect a battery that has been replaced by a larger capacity one.

If the tablet or phone doesnt support Android 5.0s new API calls for battery, the charge rate of the battery may not be correctly reported. Android 5.0 is not supported by all-new Android phones released after 2015. Galaxy S6 does not fully support these APIs.
